Our 4th of July was awesome!!
In the morning, we went downtown. Around the old State House, there's a parade every year and then they read the Declaration of Independence off the balcony where they originally read it in 1776. It was wonderful!!
I got all choked up when we were reciting the Pledge of Allegiance with our hands over our hearts. At the end of a man singing America the Beautiful (which was sooo gorgeous), confetti cannons burst open with red, white, and blue confetti!!! I was jumping up and down, giddy as a 2 year old with ice cream. It was perfect!

That night, we went downtown with a bunch of friends and sat along the Charles River. We played games, ate snacks, and chatted for hours till the firework show started. We have such great friends here.
The show was AMAZING!! Easily the best show I've ever seen. The fireworks went with the Boston Pops music playing and they filled the entire sky it felt like! They were lit off a barge in the middle of the river and we were straight across from it, so we definitely had a wonderful view!
